Artemis

Personality: Artemis always thinks of herself as the lesser being, as the Omega in her non-existent pack. She scavenges for her food and sometimes even catches a rabbit or two. She does not make friends easily and if anything she runs from other wolves and coyotes in fear that they will abuse her.
History:

Artemis's mother was a Red wolf, one of the few hundred wolves of her breed left in the wild. She as well as a male Red wolf were released into the wilds of these forests; the Humans hoped that the two would breed and create a pack in these forests. Though, disaster struck and the male wolf did not survive the winter, leaving her mother to find another mate. Her mother found a coyote that was strikingly similar to her past future mate. She was instantly in love and mated with the coyote, not thinking of the consequences of the breeding.

Her mother gave birth to an extremely small litter of one pup. The pup, Artemis, grew up to have both characteristics of her mother and her father. Her father by this time was long dead, killed by wolves who disliked scavengers in their territory. Her mother named the pup Artemis, after the god, feeling that her only child was beautiful and deserved the name. As Artemis grew she began to dislike the name, feeling as though she was inferior and deserved nothing more then to be called Art. Her mother died from an attack sometime after Art turned two, leaving the not yet fully mature half-breed to fend for herself and scavenge lands that did not belong to her.
